It looks fantastic and seems well built, too. The hand sprayer is metal, not plastic like other faucets we looked at, and attaches solidly to the neck of the faucet.<br /><br />To answer your question, the switch under the hand sprayer clicks between spray and aerate. It stays where you last set it until you choose to change it.
