Danze Faucets to go Lead Free in 2010

Danze Faucets announced that they are converting their entire line of bathroom faucet and kitchen faucets to meet California and Vermont's Lead Free Standard.

The new Lead Free Danze Faucets will be available by Summer of 2010. The new standard requires that faucets deliver potable water with no more than .25% lead on a weighted average. For those of you in California or Vermont non-compliant faucets will not sold in these states either in the state, mail order or internet.

Faucets Featured in the HGTV Dreamhome 2010

My wife and I watch HGTV's dreamhome every year. This year Delta faucets were used throughout the home. Below is a breakdown of the styles used in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Lead Free Faucets New Law in California for 2010

2010 California State Law requires that ALL faucets be replaced with Lead-Free Compliant Products. The Law AB1953 will transition California to a cleaner, greener, and lead free environment.

What should California residence do?

1. Replace all of the faucets in your home with AB1953 Compliant Lead-Free Faucets.

2. Demand that your Schools, Businesses, and Government Offices replace their old faucets with Lead Free Faucets.

My Favorite Moen Faucet Line, Rothbury™.

The great thing about Moen Faucets is their rough valve system. Most Moen faucets use a common rough-valve and you can interchange the faucet trim. I am considering changing my moen faucet trim to Rothbury™.
